The report even cleared that Aprilia is expected to name the scooter 160 to improve brand presence while the engine used on the new scooter will stay the same 155cc unit. Also, the one example of the Aprilia SR Max 300 spotted in the country could serve as the face for their new scooter. As the popularity of Suzuki Burgman Street is about to touch a new milestone, Aprilia could have a perfect plan to counter the same.

The frame from SR 150, along with its engine can save a lot of money for the brand while panels from the SR Max 300 can serve as a new body for the Aprilia scooter. The localization of the components will leave them with just a search for the vendors who can create the magic by manufacturing the same panel designs with a different set of mounting locations on the new frame. The most powerful factor for the new scooter will be its huge front fascia that can save the rider from upcoming winds and improve the comfort levels.

SR Max 300 comes with a twin headlight design that is clearly inspired by superbikes and will increase the overall cost of the scooter.
