An all-new spy shot of the upcoming adventure motorcycle namely Aprilia Terra 250 has recently leaked online. The spy shot of the motorcycle has been taken inside a factory thus confirming its authenticity. The upcoming adventure bike once launched in India will compete in the market with the likes of KTM 250 Adventure.
It is now being rumoured that the brand may enter the quarter-litre segment with the launch of an adventure motorcycle which is expected to play well in the Indian markets considering tons of adventure enthusiasts in the country. The Aprilia Terra 125 and Terra 150 adventure bikes that were launched in the Chinese markets were unable to impress the audience due to their hefty price tags though the 250cc adventure motorcycle is expected to compensate for the loss in sales.
As the motorcycle seen in the spy shot seems to be parked at a factory, one can easily imagine it to be the final production variant that is expected to grace the Indian markets in the coming months. Since there is not much information available on the Aprilia Terra 250 as of yet, the revealed spy shots ensure that the production bike will feature premium components.
The adventure motorcycle has been shod with dual-purpose tyres with spoke wheels. The brand has offered the motorcycle with high ground clearance while one can easily recognise the suspension components equipped on the production variant. The Aprilia Terra 250 features telescopic forks at the front with long wheel travel while the rear end has been equipped with a monoshock unit.
The braking department is handled by disc brakes at either side while the fuel tank panels feature the “Terra Adventure” branding. The motorcycle further makes way for a relaxed riding position with the single-piece tubular-type handlebar unit. The brand has equipped the motorcycle with a side-mounted exhaust system while the seat height seems to be on the higher side like most of the adventure bikes available in the market.
Powering the Aprilia Terra 250 will be the 250cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that powers the Aprilia GPR 250. The engine is capable of churning out a maximum power of 26.5HP @ 9,000 rpm and a peak torque of 22Nm @ 7,500 rpm. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed transmission. If launched in India, the Terra 250 is expected to compete in the markets against the likes of KTM 250 Adventure though there isn’t any pricing or other information revealed on the upcoming Aprilia product as of yet.
