In addition to showcasing the production variant of Aprilia RS 660, the brand has also unveiled the Aprilia Tuono 660 concept motorcycle at the EICMA 2019. Drawing inspiration from the Tuono V4 1100, the semi-faired sports bike is everything one can expect from a high-performance motorcycle.
Coming to the mechanical traits, the Tuono 660 concept features the same light aluminium frame, engine, chassis, and suspension as that of the RS 660 though, the brand has conceptualized the motorcycle for a daily use thus offering it with a large handlebar unit. The motorcycle has been equipped with same RS 660-inspired LED headlight setup mated to LED DRLs. The side fairings have been specifically designed to divert the hot air away from the rider.
Powering the Aprilia Tuono 660 concept motorcycle is the same 660cc parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that is capable to generate a maximum power of 45.5HP for the standard variant subjected for the use of young riders while the high-power variant is expected to generate around 95HP of maximum power.
The braking duties are handled by 320mm disc brakes at the front with radial-mounted callipers. The Tuono 660 concept motorcycle has been equipped with a TFT colour display with smartphone connectivity.
Similar to the Aprilia RS 660, the Tuono 660 concept bike features an adjustable suspension setup in addition to getting the APRC electronic package powered by six-axis IMU which further offers Traction Control, Wheelie Control, Quick Shifter, Cruise Control, Cornering ABS and more.
The brand has not yet disclosed any details on the production variant of the Tuono 660 while one can expect the brand to reveal it at the EICMA in November next year.
