The first-ever unit of the 2020 Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory has been recently delivered to Mr Mirza, a motorcycle enthusiast in Trivandrum by Motoplex, a Piaggio dealership in Bengaluru. The race machine was showcased by the brand at the recently held Auto Expo 2020 in addition to its naked sibling Aprilia Tuono 1100 RR.
The Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory is now available in the market at a price tag of INR 22.42 lakh while the customers can get their hands on Tuono 1100 RR at an ex-showroom price tag of INR 17.96 lakh. Both the performance motorcycles are equipped with BS4-compliant engines and will be available across the country for a limited period till March 31, 2020.
Since the new emission norms will commence in the country from April 1, 2020, the customers will not be able to book the Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory and Tuono 1100 RR after the said date as both the bikes are imported to India as CBUs (Completely Built Units).
Coming to the engine specifications, powering both the sports machines is a 1077cc V4 liquid-cooled engine that is capable of offering a maximum power of 217HP at 13,200 rpm and a peak torque of 122Nm at 11,000 rpm for the RSV4 1100 Factory while the power and torque figures for the Tuono 1100 RR stand at 175HP and 121Nm respectively.
The braking duties on the 2020 Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory are handled by disc brakes at either side with Brembo-sourced callipers while the suspension setup is taken care by Ohlins-sourced USD forks at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear.
The motorcycle features an Akrapovic titanium exhaust system while gets Aprilia traction control, wheelie control, launch control, Aprilia quick shift, Aprilia pit limiter and cruise control. Inspired from the brand’s MotoGP lineup, the motorcycle features carbon fibre body panels and various other track-focused features that further ensure a thrilling ride.
At present, the 2020 Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory competes in the market with the likes of BMW S1000RR, Ducati Panigale V4S, Suzuki GSX-R1000R, Yamaha YZF-R1, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, and Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade.
