Auto Expo 2018 Bikes: India’s biggest auto show is arriving soon with lots of expectations from Indian motorcycle as well as car fans. Most of the highly prioritized new year products will arrive in this time frame as every automobile enthusiast is tracking the movement of their favorite brand for this prestigious Indian auto show.
Auto Expo 2018 starts on Feb 9 and ends Feb 14, offering a glimpse of modern India through a long list of concepts and production ready options. Fans will witness all-new products from TVS, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Honda, BMW, Hero, Suzuki, Benelli and Hero MotoCorp. Sadly, the list of manufacturers that are not coming to the show is massive this time.
Royal Enfield, Bajaj Auto (KTM, Husqvarna also included), Triumph, DSK Hyosung, Aprilia (complete Motoplex range), Harley Davidson and MV Agusta are planning to give Auto Expo a miss. A really bad news for India as these brands have cult fan following and getting nothing from them will leave a hole in Auto Expo’s success.
The only reason that comes forward for this move is high floor prices, which these brands cannot justify in their overall profits. They have to spend crores for these five days and doing the same through individual press events feels easy for most of the brands.
We can only hope that they change their mind for some miraculous reason or else, a large chunk of superbike fans would get disappointed with the Auto Expo 2018. Fans were waiting from a long time to have those two 650cc Royal Enfield bikes in front of them.
Their last display was in south India and north side was waiting for the Delhi based event. Apart from these two groups, some brands like Ducati and Indian Motorcycles have not yet revealed their plans for the show. Hope all of them arrive together with mouth watering products for best ever experience. Media days will start from Feb 7, 2017.
