It's Official: Bajaj Avenger Street 220 Discontinued in India

Bajaj Avenger Street 220 Discontinued in India: Since Bajaj Auto has recently revamped its portfolio in the light of the mandatory BS6 switch, the ‘Discover’ and ‘V’ monikers under its wing have been officially removed from the website. In addition to this, the brand has also discontinued the Bajaj Avenger 220 Street under the Avenger portfolio which only features the Avenger Street 160 and Cruise 220 with BS6-compliant engines as of now. The Avenger 220 Street has not been updated with the BS6-compliant engine like other siblings in its segment. The brand has decided to simplify the equation with only a single cruise and street variant under its lineup while discontinuing the 220 Street due to low sales figures. The brand had halted the supply of the Avenger 220 Street to the dealerships in the last month while the only models that are expected to be available with the dealerships would be the unsold BS4 inventory. The reason behind the lesser sales of the Avenger 220 Street is the availability of its 160cc variant that is far more affordable and features almost identical design language.
