Bajaj Increases Prices Again! Bajaj Auto went ahead with second price hike across their entire lineup within last six weeks. The change in price is variable for different models as flagship Bajaj Dominar witnessed INR 2000 worth price hike in its ex-showroom value.
It had already got an addition of INR 2000 to its price a few days back. Present value for the non-ABS variant of Dominar is INR 1,46,111 while ABS is priced at INR 1,60,272. The product never tasted expected level of success but still got a total hike of INR 10,000 in last 18 months of its existence. The move is pretty shocking.
Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is now priced at INR 1,25,587 for non-ABS and INR 1,37,491 for ABS variant. This makes the fact clear that single channel ABS commands around INR 12,000 while dual channel can be had in INR 14,000.
It’s still hard to know why for INR 2000, Bajaj Auto is using a lesser effective unit on most of its bikes. Pulsar NS200 is now priced at INR 99,411 for non-ABS and INR 1,11,411 for the ABS variant. This makes it less effective against primary rival Apache RTR 200.
Avenger series was given INR 500 worth price hike while Pulsar 220F gets INR 1000 price hike. It is still not clear why the product that was once placed as an affordable performer has gained INR 9000 in such small time frame. The change in shade options and BS4 conversion is not an effective clarification for such huge rise.
Bajaj Auto could have focused more on product popularity with Pulsar RS200, Dominar 400 and Pulsar NS200 than silently increasing prices one after the other. Surprisingly, Pulsar 135 received INR 2000 price hike during this move.
