Bajaj to Upgrade KTM Showrooms; 4 New Bikes Coming to India

As per a recent report by Autocar, Bajaj Auto is all set to upgrade the KTM showrooms in India. The company took this decision in order to be able to accommodate the 4 new upcoming motorcycles. The showrooms are expected to become bigger and will get a premium look to improve the experience for the customers.

The upgradation will not just be applied on the inside of the showrooms but also to the exterior of the KTM dealerships for making them more suitable to showcase the upcoming models. According to the current stats, Bajaj Auto will launch 4 new bikes namely KTM 790 Duke, KTM 390 Adventure, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401. The Husqvarnas and the 790 Duke are already being retailed in the global market whereas the 390 Adventure will make an official debut at the EICMA in November 2019.

KTM 790 Duke

The exact prices of these products are not known yet as it is not clear to what extent the bikes will be localised for the Indian market. A lot of similarities can be expected among the models like 390 Duke and the 390 Adventure as they will share a lot of components along with being manufactured at the same plant in Pune. Also, the Husqvarnas and the 390 Adventure will share the 390 Duke’s 373cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which is further mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Husqvarna Vitpilen 401

The 390 Adventure, Vitpilen 401, and the Svartpilen 401 will be priced higher than the brand’s current flagship product for India, the 390 Duke, which is available with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 2.48 lakh. As far as the 790 Duke is concerned, according to the latest details available, there is a delay in the homologation process which has postponed the launch of the streetfighter to early 2020. The 790 Duke is expected to get an ex-showroom price tag of around INR 6-7 lakh in India.

Husqvarna Svartpilen 401

Bajaj Auto is looking forward to making the KTM showrooms as one of the best dealerships to showcase performance-based bikes. It is also interesting to know that all KTM showrooms will not be certified to have all these models as some of the existing showrooms are quite small to showcase the entire KTM range and the upcoming Husqvarna motorcycles.
