Bajaj Auto is all set to launch their Pulsar 125 in the Indian market in the coming days. One of the most affordable offerings in the Pulsar lineup, the 125cc Bajaj Pulsar will be based on the design language of the 150 Neon.
Earlier reports suggested that the brand will be launching the Pulsar 125 based on the NS125 available in the international markets, though the news has seen the dust. The brand will be sticking to the traditional styling for the 125cc variant of its most famous motorcycle series.
The Bajaj Pulsar 125 will be made available in the Indian market with CBS (Combined Braking System) as standard. One can expect the price tag for the upcoming Pulsar to range around INR 60,000 (ex-showroom).
According to the recent rumours, the brand is highly likely to unveil the new 125cc Pulsar in a neon variant in addition to the standard version. The Pulsar 125 Neon is bound to undercut the 150 Neon model by around INR 10,000 considering the fact that all the bikes above 125cc displacement have to be offered with a mandatory ABS as standard. At present, the 150 Neon is available in India with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 71,200.
The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 125 taking the mechanical cues from the Pulsar 135LS is expected to generate a maximum power of around 13.5 HP and 12 Nm of peak torque. The carburetted engine will be mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The suspension duties on the Pulsar 125 will be handled by conventional telescopic forks at the front while the motorcycle will feature gas-charged twin-sided shock absorbers at the rear. The upcoming motorcycle is expected to get a 240mm disc brake at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear.
It is expected that Bajaj Auto will soon announce the official launch date of the 125cc Pulsar plus the brand will also start accepting the pre-bookings for the motorcycle in the coming days.
