2017 Bajaj Pulsar 150 BS4 Launched @ Rs 74,600

2017 Bajaj Pulsar 150, the ancestral model from Indian motorcycle maker finally got itself the much required BS4 emission compatible update. The bike now costs INR 74,603 (ex-showroom Delhi). It was the only motorcycle in the Pulsar series to stay behind and now, it has emerged as the best version of itself built even in India. The 150 cc motorcycle now gets the required punch in the low end performance segment by getting an engine overhaul in its 2017 version.

2017 Bajaj Pulsar 150 BS4 Launched @ Rs 74,600

It now uses an engine with slightly shorter bore and longer stroke, making it powerful by 1 Nm in the torque department and shredding 1 BHP from the its horsepower segment. 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 150 is good for 14 PS at 8000 rpm and 13.4 Nm at 6000 rpm. The power has now been successfully shifted into the usable range. The engine parts have been now shared with the bigger Pulsar 180 on the new version.

The motorcycle even comes with a bigger exhaust muffler, automatic headlight on, 5-Map CDI ignition and reduced NVH levels. All these features makes it BS4 compliant and even ready for the minimum amount of security features that are needed to follow on a motorcycle in India. These changes have led to a price increase of INR 1090 in the motorcycle. Bajaj Auto may pass on the same engine to the BS4 Avenger series.

There were chances of bringing the NS150 into the Indian market as Bajaj was not updating the 150 cc model in the last few weeks. The introduction of 2017 Pulsar 150 DTS-i now means that there will be no new products in the Pulsar lineup in the coming time. The motorcycle carries a huge 15 liter fuel tank and rivals none other than TVS Apache RTR 160 in the Indian market. This can be assumed as the last update on this design of Pulsar 150.
