2017 Bajaj Pulsar Series – What We Know So Far

Bajaj Pulsar is a successful lineup of commuter performance motorcycles that were the first ones to provide wings to the Indian youth, helping them realize their real potential on the road, back in November 2001. Successfully completing their 15 years in the Indian market, the series is ready to undergo the 2017 year transformation, highly seen as cosmetic and performance changes in all of the bikes in the lineup. Here is everything we know about the 2017 Bajaj Pulsars so far.

2017 Bajaj Pulsar Series – What We Know So Far

# 2017 Pulsar 220F

New Pulsar 220F now comes with a Matt Black exhaust can, which used Metallic finish earlier. The other changes on the Pulsar 220F include Black shade with Red highlights, gunmetal finished engine and lower panel section, blue lit instrument console and highly padded seats with superior finish. It even looses auto choke for a manual one.

# 2017 Pulsar 180 –

New Pulsar 180 DTS-i comes with a rear disc brake this time. The other differences, except the exhaust can change from 220F are the same on Pulsar 180. It would be priced higher due to added equipment while the BS4 compliant engine would also raise the overall cost.

# 2017 Pulsar 150

New Pulsar 150 seems to be the biggest disappointment in the series with just a new shade, dark finish and orange lit console. The power values of the motorcycles are yet to be revealed, filling some hope in the fans for the 2017 models.

# The teaser images also had the shadow of Pulsar 135 LS, hinting at an updated variant with nearly the same changes as the other ones on the list. It could even support better mileage and throttle response than before.

# Apart from these DTS-i range of Pulsars, the famous RS (Race Sport), AS (Adventure Sport) and NS (Naked Sport) still have no news for their update. There have been news that AS series has been temporarily discontinued for making them BS4 compliant while the bringing back of 200NS still has no official hint.

# The much awaited 400cc Bajaj bike now carries the Dominar brand name. It was highly awaited as a flagship Pulsar but nothing can be said for sure about its actual name, which can be anything ranging from CS 400, VS 400, Kratos 400 or Dominar 400. The chances are nearly zero but still, the bike would have felt even better under the Pulsar name.

Bajaj Auto has promised to launch each and every present model from the Pulsar lineup before the end of this year. They will soon make all of the models official while the changes are not that satisfactory as they were expected from the company.
