2019 Bajaj Dominar 400, listed by the name Dominar UG in the company’s official presentation, has leaked completely before the unveil. The motorcycle as seen here is finished in a Green shade, carrying chrome-lined alloy wheels and matching USD fork cover. The Green shade is highlighted through the extended tank shrouds, underbelly protection panel and side panel below the seats. The exhaust is finished in black shade and clearly shows twin exits from the single cylinder setup. The motorcycle comes with loads of mechanical changes that are not just performance-enhancing, but also good for the overall ownership experience of the rider.
The primary console screen now allows dot matrix display functions like alarms and warnings for the rider. 2019 Bajaj Dominar UG comes with dynamic and average fuel consumption calculator, average speed calculator, fuel range warning and other alerts regarding oil pressure, battery health and much more. Apart from the console-related differences, the motorcycle now measures 836mm in width and claims a wet weight of 184.5 kg. The motorcycle features a 13,000 rpm tachometer and claims 1700ml of engine oil in every drain and refill cycle in comparison to 1500ml on the last version. The fuel tank capacity remains the same at 13-litres.
The biggest change can be seen through the overall engine output. The 373.27cc, single cylinder engine on the 2019 Bajaj Dominar UG is good for 39.9 HP at 8650 rpm and 35 Nm at 7000 rpm. The slightly sport-tuned motorcycle is now good for 4.9 HP of power increase by getting just 2.5 kg in overall body weight. The use of USD forks will further help the riders enjoy Dominar UG to the max potential. Visually, the differences are limited to the forks, colour combination and exhaust while internally, the entire engine has been tuned to achieve the feat of 39.9 HP. The 2019 model is expected to launch in India very soon with an approximate ex-showroom price tag of INR 1.75-1.80 lakh.
