Here’s What’s New in the 2019 Bajaj Dominar (Full List of Changes)

Bajaj Auto can launch the 2019 Dominar 400 in India anytime now as the bike was given for the media ride in this week. As all details are out, the only thing that will arrive soon will be the ex-showroom price, expected to fall around INR 1.80 lakh for the updated model with a number of changes. Here is everything you need to know about the new Dominar.

Full List of Changes/Updates

  1. DOHC engine with power output now increased to 40 HP from 35 HP, increasing the power to weight ratio to 217 HP/Ton as against 192 HP/Ton earlier.
  2. 43mm upside down forks to provide better handling and comfort.
  3. New twin-barrel exhaust for throaty exhaust note augmenting the power cruiser look and feel.
  4. Secondary display is now LCD giving important displays like time, gear position and trip information.
  5. A new body colour, Auroral Green, which will enhance the road presence and add to the premium quotient of the bike.
  6. The headlamp is visually made smaller with focal point coloured giving it a mean, futuristic and techy robot look.
  7. Spacecraft inspired new tank pad decal.
  8. Last but not least, USD only makes the Leo stance more imposing.
  9. Hot stamping of D logo in pillion seat.
  10. New tail lamp internals with light guides to impart newness yet keeping the signature identity of Dominar 400.
  11. The primary speedo with dot matrix window displays additional information of average fuel consumption for both trip A and trip B, dynamic fuel economy, distance to service while the additional info of gear position is included in the secondary display.
  12. New mirror design with cast aluminium stalks not only provides better visibility than earlier but also complements the bold and techno appeal to the front.
  13. Forged steel side stand with a bold section provides robust support.
  14. Bungee straps are neatly tucked under the seat and can be used to tie luggage for long distance tours enhancing the touring capabilities of the Dominar.
