2023 Bajaj Pulsar 125 Spotted; Design Based on 250cc Pulsars

An upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 125 test mule was just spotted for the first time on the outskirts of Pune city. While there is no apparent evidence that this is a 125cc bike, its overall proportions and engine block size imply that it might be the entry-level Pulsar. Furthermore, it looks to be powered by an air-cooled engine and features a chain cover similar to the current-generation Pulsar 125.

In addition, the tyres are also substantially skinnier than on the 250s, the front disc brake is significantly smaller, and this test mule has a single-piece seat, as opposed to the split seats on the 250s. It still appears like a Pulsar and is fashioned similarly to the quarter-litre Pulsars: the side panels and tank extensions are similar to the N250, while the headlamp is identical to the F250’s unit.

Besides this, the spotted test mules get sporty dashes like a small windscreen and a belly pan, despite being the expected smallest model in the Pulsar lineup. A closer look reveals that the test mule has a heel-shifter, which is only available on the Pulsar 125 in the current lineup. Further strengthening the idea is the existence of a chain cover, which is only seen on the current-generation Pulsar 125.

It’s worth noting that this test mule appears to be in good condition. The bodywork appears to be finished, and all of the panels appear to be flush with one another. Even little features like the lights, number plates, switchgear, and controls look well-finished.

All of this suggests that the bike is nearing the end of its testing phase and that it could make its official debut later this year. However, it is unclear yet under what name this bike will enter the Indian two-wheeler market, as the brand has recently trademarked two nametags for its Pulsar lineup.
