Bajaj has been working on one of his upcoming commuter motorcycles, likely based on the current N model line (N250, N160). The test mules have been spotted again, revealing some new details.
The bodywork remains unchanged from the previous test bikes. Though covered in camouflage, the bike reveals its youthful style with a sharp headlight and sporty bodywork. However, unlike the one-piece seat on the previous model, the latest test bike had a split seat configuration.
If Bajaj targets the global market, the new test mule could be the N150 and it will be launched overseas. That said, the bike could also be the next Pulsar N125 and launched later in India. Either way, the Chakan-based manufacturer will likely develop a new engine, just like it does for current N models.
Bajaj will likely offer the new Pulsar in two variants: front disc along with rear drum and front disc with rear disc. If it is a 150cc offering, we expect Bajaj in Bajaj to equip it with dual-channel ABS, while a 125cc model would get a single-channel ABS setup. Plus, it works on conventional telescopic forks and a single shock configuration.
The bike appears to be ready for production and could be launched in India later this year or in early 2023. For a 125cc offering, we can expect an asking price of Rs 1.10 to 1.15 lakh.
