Bajaj Avenger 180 Street has been launched in India for a price tag of INR 83,475 (ex-showroom Mumbai). This is almost INR 2000 more in comparison to Avenger 150 Street. Except for the shade additions and headlight design, negligible changes in terms of equipment were seen on Avenger 180. Buyers will love the bigger engine as 150 Street was not that powerful for its competition.
It has the problem regarding lack of power that most Avenger owners feel after going for the entry level model. For making things even more interesting, buyers will get new Avenger 220 inspired decals for Avenger 180. The bike weighs just 150kg and brings better suspension travel than before.
Avenger 180 has skipped the added equipment like digital instrument console but carries more power than the current generation bike for sure. As cruisers are generally heavier than the same sized street machines, the new engine could help buyers enjoy impressive acceleration when compared to other 150cc cruisers.
The primary rival of Avenger 180 will still be Suzuki Intruder 150 but this time, Avenger could offer much more when compared in terms of price of both the bikes. The use 260mm front disc helps buyers shred speed with ease. Wheel size on Avenger 180 remains same as all other cruisers of the lineup.
Bajaj Auto’s 180cc, single cylinder engine is good for 15.5 HP and 13.7 NM of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. This helps the motorcycle achieve triple digit speeds with ease and maintain them for better high speed highway cruising.
Bajaj Auto has already updated the 220cc lineup and now, both of the bikes come with updated consoles, better light designs and updated overall body designs. Bajaj Auto is still maintaining almost INR 10,000 of gap between the 180cc and 220cc cruiser range.
