The prices for Bajaj Avenger 220 ABS have leaked along with the dealer warehouse photos for the model. The motorcycle is seen in both Street and Cruise version, getting single-channel ABS for the front brake and using rear lift protection on the drum brake for the first time. Before Avenger 220 ABS, no other model was seen with this sensor on a drum brake. The ex-showroom price for Avenger 220 ABS is INR 1,02,500 for Mumbai while on-road price touches INR 1.27 lakh. This means Avenger 220 is getting the ABS feature for the least difference (INR 6800) in comparison to other Bajaj bikes.
The difference is almost half the amount that Bajaj charges for single-channel ABS on other bikes like Pulsar NS200 and RS200. The inclusion of ABS is mandatory for all bikes above 125cc displacement in India from April 1, 2019. The manufacturers are bringing the products one by one by keeping the sales number in mind. On the other hand, it would have been easy for the buyers if they had introduced all the ABS versions at once and retailed the non-ABS options until stocks last. The difference for Suzuki bikes is limited under INR 7000 while Bajaj takes INR 12,000 for the Pulsar range.
