Before its official release, the new Bajaj CT125X motorcycle has been spotted at a Bajaj dealership. This is the 125cc version of the Bajaj CT110X, with slightly more power and features. It appears to be sale-ready, implying that it will be available very soon. It will undoubtedly be a good utilitarian bike for the general public.
With the introduction of the Bajaj CT125X motorcycle, Bajaj will reintroduce a 125cc budget commuter to its product lineup. While it may come as a surprise to some, Bajaj’s product lineup has long lacked a low-cost 125cc commuter.
First and foremost, the overall design and engine layout are identical to the existing CT110X. In addition to the signature ‘Discover’ Black and Red colour, the bike now comes in a new dual-tone glossy Black and Green shade.
The CT110X is currently available in three colour options: Matte Wild Green, Ebony Black & Blue, and Ebony Black & Red. The body panels of the upcoming CT125X have been updated with new graphics.
The most significant change is the addition of a fully ribbed seat and a handy USB charger on the handlebar clamps. The seat is stylish and adds to the ruggedness of the vehicle. The bike is easily converted into cool scramblers.
Unlike the CT110X, which has dual-purpose tyres, the 125 only has standard road-biased tyres. However, the presence of the MRF Zapper C rear tyre is a significant plus. The engine appears to have been lifted from the now-defunct Discover 125.
Overall, the box-section chassis and build quality look good, and the bike could be a great companion for people whose livelihood is heavily reliant on rough riding. When the bike goes on sale, expect it to cost around Rs. 80,000 ex-showroom.
The introduction of the Bajaj CT125X motorcycle into the Indian two-wheeler market will provide Bajaj with an excellent opportunity to reclaim the 125cc budget commuter segment while also increasing overall sales volume.
