Bajaj Discover 110 is one among the new products that Bajaj Auto will introduce in January 2018. It was recently spied in production ready livery and revealed how Bajaj has made minor changes to the decade old design. It will rival the present generation 110cc bikes like Honda Dream, Hero Splendor and Yamaha Saluto.
The triple tone paint scheme of Discover 110 looks fresh and suits the curvy character of Discover specific fascia. The motorcycle clearly reminds of Discover 110 that was once launched back in 2010 and then discontinued with falling demand. Is the launch justified then?
Sales jump is the only purpose of Bajaj Auto and if Yamaha could do the same for R15 in 2017, why not Bajaj bring back the popular commuter of its time. This shows how the immature Indian market is exploited on the name of new products as changing shades tag these machines as new.
Spending nothing on research saves a lot for every brand in India. Bajaj could have launched a new brand name with actual features to shock everyone this time. They are also bringing a face-lift to Discover 125 that would be nothing more than just change in overall shades or alloy wheel design.
No doubt, Discover is a cost effective model and the same will follow with the 2018 year update. Expecting the Discover 110 at INR 48,000 and Discover 125 at INR 52,000 will make them quite effective against competition. Their primary aim is to gain third spot in the Indian market by dethroning TVS from this point.
Other update from Bajaj includes 3 new shades in the Dominar 400 series, finally bringing the CS400 inspired Red shade to the buyers. Bajaj Auto has witnessed a lot of growth in exports and thus, they could consider these models for other markets in the coming months.
