Bajaj Dominar 250 Launched in India: After being spotted multiple times, the much-awaited Dominar 250 has been officially launched with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 1.60 lakhs. As per the Bajaj dealers, the motorcycle’s on-road price will hover around INR 1.90 lakhs. The pre-bookings for the Dominar 250 are already open with a token amount of INR 10,000 while the deliveries are expected to commence in the coming days.
The 250cc Bajaj Dominar is available in two colour options: Canyon Red and Vine Black. Mechanically, the sports tourer is powered by a 248.77cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4-valve, liquid-cooled and fuel-injected engine. It is good for a maximum power of 27HP @ 8500 rpm along with a peak torque of 23.5Nm @ 6500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The company-claimed top speed of the motorcycle stands at 132kmph.
Coming to the major changes imparted to the 250cc Dominar variant, the brand has equipped the motorcycle with thinner tyres on either side while the diamond cut alloy wheels setup as seen on the Dominar 400 has also been given a miss. The Bajaj Dominar 250 features a D250 badging on the body panels while the swingarm is also different.
The motorcycle gets a 100 section front tyre and a 130 section rear tyre while the braking department is handled by 300mm disc brake at the front and 230mm disc brake at the rear. The bike comes equipped with a 2-channel ABS unit as standard.
Like the Dominar 400, the 250cc model is also equipped with an all-digital instrument console, USD front forks, rear monoshock, slipper clutch and a double-barrel exhaust system. The Bajaj Dominar 250 will compete in the market with the likes of Suzuki Gixxer 250, KTM Duke 250, Husqvarna Vitpilen 250, and the Yamaha FZ25.
