Taking into account the Coronavirus Pandemic, the Bajaj Officials have postponed the recently launched Bajaj Dominar 250’s media ride. The notice has been sent out to all the media bodies that were expected to be present at the Bajaj plant in Akurdi stating that the ride has been postponed for the media till the situation becomes normal in the country and the mass gatherings are allowed.
The notice further states that Bajaj Auto will be carrying out the first ride of the quarter-litre machine in a different format though there are not many details available on the same. The Bajaj Dominar 250 has been recently launched in India at a price tag of INR 1.60 lakh while features a similar design when compared to its elder sibling Dominar 400.
The quarter-litre machine features a different swingarm unit while getting thinner tyres at either side. The BS6-compliant 248.77cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine on the motorcycle is capable of churning out a maximum power of 27HP and a peak torque of 23.5Nm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The suspension duties on the motorcycle have been retained from the Dominar 400 though the disc brakes setup is now smaller. At present, the Bajaj Dominar 250 competes in the market with the likes of Suzuki Gixxer 250, KTM Duke 250, Husqvarna Vitpilen 250, and the Yamaha FZ25.
