Bajaj Officially Teases Pulsar NS200
The Wait is Over! Bajaj has officially released a teaser image on its official Facebook page confirming the relaunch of Pulsar NS200 in coming days, most probably by next week. NS200 has been in a debatable state since its silent production halt for the carburetor fed model. The time when it actually started growing popular among the masses, Bajaj Auto simply pushed AS series instead of the NS naked street fighter. But finally the time has come and the fans who were waiting for the NS200 from past few months, they would be able to own the best-looking 200cc naked street bike in India priced around INR 1 lakh.
This is what Bajaj has to say on the official Facebook page – “The ultimate naked street fighter is all set to take over the streets. The all new 2017 edition Pulsar NS200 is coming soon. Stay tuned.”

Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is powered by the same 199.5 cc, liquid cooled engine but it is now expected to carry fuel injection in place for the old carburetor setup. The power values are said to remain unchanged, producing a max of 23.17 BHP and 18.3 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and would claim a price tag of around INR 1 lakh.
The motorcycle was recently showcased at a dealer event in Turkey and came with all new, dual tone shades for the exterior. The new colors will have a nice combination of Matt and Gloss finish. When it was earlier sold in India, KTM 200 Duke was the next 200cc machine on the list while this time, Bajaj has a right competitor, the TVS Apache RTR 200.
TVS Apache RTR 200 was launched in India last year and strictly rivals Bajaj Pulsar NS200 in every guise. It has even been placed around the same price segment and most probably at a lower point for sure. As Bajaj is raising the safety standards on its bikes, NS200 Fi is expected to carry an optional ABS for an extra cost. The front 280 mm of disc brake could be replaced with a bigger 300 mm on the 2017 model while other dimensions are expected to remain the same.
