Bajaj Pulsar series now comes with ABS for all the models, primarily adding the safety feature to their high selling Pulsar 150 and the Pulsar NS160. The most affordable Pulsar model of all time, the 150 Neon ABS is priced at INR 68,250 and demands just approx INR 3000 over the non-ABS price tag of the motorcycle.
The single-channel ABS unit on some bikes like NS200 and RS200 was given for INR 12,000 while when considering the other Pulsar models, the price varies between INR 3000-7000. The justification for the same could be the ability of Bajaj Auto to absorb the reduction in profit over the high selling 150cc models.
The Pulsar NS160 ABS is priced at INR 92,595 and gains approx INR 6,600 in the price tag that was earlier quoted for the non-ABS model. Other models like Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 150 Twin Disc also got the same price jump like the NS160. The regular Pulsar 150 ABS is priced at INR 84,461 while the 150 Twin Disc ABS model can be had for INR 88,339.
All the prices mentioned here are ex-showroom Delhi, and this completes the Pulsar lineup with ABS in India. The most happening point here is that none of the Pulsar models is equipped with the Dominar 400’s dual-channel ABS unit as stock, not even the RS200 and the NS200.
Bajaj Pulsar 150 is the highest selling model of all time, helping the brand achieve 1 lakh sales mark in the sales chart of March 2019. Bajaj Auto had earlier offered a lot more in terms of value as the Hat-trick scheme was good for those who were not so happy with the increased insurance value after the five-year mandatory insurance rule. Bajaj Auto had absorbed the increased value and also offered extended warranty and servicing for almost 6 months after the change in norms.
