After teasing multiple times, Bajaj has finally unveiled its new range of bikes, the N250 and F250, in the Indian two-wheeler market. The N250 is the naked street variant while the F250 is a semi-faired variant. It is also noteworthy that both the motorcycles are mechanically the same and there are few cosmetic changes only.
As far as the N250’s pricing is concerned, it is available at a starting price of Rs. 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom) in Delhi. While launching the all-new bikes, Bajaj Auto MD, Mr Rajiv Bajaj, stated that today is extremely special for them as the first Pulsar was launched 20 years ago on October 28, 2001.
Looking at the new features offered in the Pulsar N250, it has a new design but also has signature design elements that are its identity as Pulsar. It sports a bi-functional LED projector headlamp with a position lamp for enhanced illumination, alloy wheels, a muscular fuel tank, a split-style seat and a digital-analogue instrument console with a gear indicator, clock, fuel efficiency and range indicator.
However, the Bluetooth connectivity feature seems to be majorly missing. While talking about the offered colour choices, the N250 is available only in one colour option, which is Techno Grey.
The new Pulsar N250 is powered by a 249cc, 4-stroke, oil-cooled, 2-valve, SOHC engine that utilises fuel injection technology and can produce 24.5 PS at 8750rpm and 21.5 Nm at 6500rpm. The 5-speed constant mesh gearbox handles the transmission duties.
In terms of suspension, the bike has 37mm telescopic front forks and a mono-shock with Nitrox at the back. It also has a 300mm front disc brake, a 230mm rear disc brake, and single-channel ABS for increased rider safety. The motorcycle has a 162kg kerb weight and 100mm front and 130mm rear cross-section tyres.
