Bajaj Pulsar NS160 Launched in India @ INR 79,000
Through the launch of NS160, Bajaj has introduced the much awaited 160.3cc, single cylinder engine in the Indian market. The motor is oil cooled and gets much better output than the version used on AS150. Pulsar NS160 produces 15.5 PS and 14.6 Nm of torque. This takes the torque higher than bigger Pulsar 180 and thus, would result in better driving feel in overall terms. Icing to the cake arrives through perimeter frame as it performs better than the conventional frame on DTS-i models. Bajaj offers smaller 80/100-17 and 110/80-17 tyres on Pulsar NS160, helping it attain the lean look and further getting negative comments from most of the fans. The rear tyre now skips the disc brake while front gets smaller 240 mm unit. Single channel ABS is not on offer in India as Bajaj skips the feature out of all other bikes than RS200. In that too, they command around INR 12,000 for this addition. Rivals in the segment for Pulsar NS160 include Honda CB Hornet 160R, TVS Apache RTR 160, Yamaha FZ Fi and Suzuki Gixxer.
