Bajaj fans would soon consider them the luckiest people on earth as there has been a confirmed report by NDTV Autos for the relaunch of NS200 in India. It was previously expected to be relaunched in December but as per the latest details available, NS200 is now confirmed to be launched in India next month. Pulsar NS200 is still the best-looking 200cc street bike in India and a lot of fans are waiting for the bike to be relaunched in India.
The motorcycle was never officially discontinued but with a sales halt of more than 1 year, it would be a joyful moment for all fans across the country. The same is expected to make an entry by mid January 2017, helping the lineup gain more popularity and a higher sales number in the year 2017. Bajaj recently launched the much awaited Dominar 400 at just INR 1.36 lakh (Know More). The NS200 in its 2017 version is expected to carry ABS as an optional feature, single channel ABS from its sibling, the RS200.
Bajaj Pulsar NS200 to be Relaunched in January 2017
Bajaj Pulsar NS200 was halted to make way for the AS series and the production was never fully stopped as it was a great hit in Latin America. The limited production facility in Bajaj’s plant was the only reason otherwise they would have continued to sell the models simultaneously in the Indian market.
The motorcycle was the best ever Pulsar based on the KTM’s 199.5cc engine as it was nearly as powerful as the popular KTM 200 Duke and even weighs just 145 kg. The BS4 compliant engine will definitely raise the overall costs of the bike, placing it around the price tag of Pulsar AS200, which is priced at INR 94,000.
If the report comes out to tbe true, the new lineup for the year 2017 will have Pulsar 135, 150, 180, 220F, NS200, AS150, AS200 and RS200 as the active members. This way, Bajaj clearly dominates the sport bike segment, starting right from INR 60,000 for the Pulsar 135LS and going all the way up to INR 1,32,000 for the RS200 ABS.
Not just that, few bikes will even cannibalize the sales of the fellow Pulsars for sure. The provision of ABS is expected to stay single channel on the NS200. It would rival the recently launched TVS Apache RTR 200, which is in turn available with optional Pirelli tyres and ABS in India.
