Bajaj Pulsar NS250 in the Making; India Launch Expected in 2022

As per the recent buzz in the automotive industry, Bajaj Auto is working on Pulsar NS250 and it is expected to launch in the year 2022. As Pulsar NS200 and RS200 are based on the KTM Duke 200 and RC200 respectively, the upcoming 250cc Pulsar will be based on the KTM 250 Duke.

The 248.8cc liquid-cooled engine of the Duke 250 will be tuned according to the equipment available on the Pulsar NS250 and thus, Bajaj will enter the league of quarter-litre machines in early 2022. In addition to the 250cc model of the Pulsar NS, the brand is also working on Pulsar RS250 sportbike, Avenger 250 cruiser motorcycle, and the Pulsar AS250 adventure motorcycle.

The buyers in India are happy to get a Pulsar NS200 at INR 1.12 lakh for the ABS variant but with the rising demand for motorcycles like Yamaha FZ25 and Suzuki Gixxer 250, the current scenario has forced Bajaj Auto to consider bigger engine displacement for the Pulsar series.

In addition to this, Suzuki is also ahead in the game with the recent launch of the Gixxer 250 and the Gixxer SF 250. It is being speculated that Bajaj Auto will most probably replace the Pulsar 220F with the upcoming Pulsar NS250.

Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Fi India Launch Expected by End 2019

The Pulsar NS250 is expected to get an ex-showroom price tag of around INR 1.50 lakh, that too when equipped with fuel injection, 2-channel ABS, and liquid cooling as standard. The quarter-litre Pulsar is expected to come loaded with a lot of segment-first features to make it compete with the likes of the rival 250cc motorcycles in a better way.

The Bajaj Pulsar series currently has 150, 160, 180, 200, and 220cc engine options in addition to the recently launched 125cc Pulsar. It is one of the most affordable products from the brand under the Pulsar moniker. The recent updates also suggest that the brand will be launching the BS6-compliant variants of its entire portfolio in the coming months.
