Bajaj Pulsar Sales Report (June 2018): Bajaj has made a statement with their Pulsar series this year. All the bikes in the series, whether it is the Pulsar 150, the Pulsar NS160, the Pulsar 180, the Pulsar 220F, the Pulsar NS200, or the Pulsar RS200, have seen an increase in their sales in June when compared to the same month in the last year.
The total number of bikes sold in the series this year in June was 71,593, whereas in June last year, the number was 37,503. The increase in the sales has been a healthy 91% and the company could not be happier. The highest increase has been seen in the sale of the 150cc engine configuration; last year the sales were at 23,829 units in the month of June, while this year, the sales have increased to 52,289 units in the month of June. This increase has been at 119%.
The combined sales of the 180cc and the 200cc engine configuration of the bikes in the series have been 12,045 units in the month of June this year, while last year in the same month, the sales were at 8,735 units; the increase being 38%.
The 220cc bike in the series has also seen an increase in its sales, with an increase from 4,939 units in June last year to 7,529 units in June this year; the rise in sales being 47%.
The low cost of these bikes in comparison to others in their segment and a better overall performance has gone a long way to help the dealerships push the sales. Bajaj’s association with the Austrian brand KTM has also helped them develop the RS and NS series in their Pulsar bikes, which have shown a healthy increase in sales with the increased interest of the public in faired and naked bikes. Being an old name in the market is also another factor that helps in the sale of the bikes in this series.
