As per the latest details available, Bajaj V12 is now confirmed and the 125cc V bike is expected to be launched in coming weeks and the ex-showroom launch price of the bike is INR 56,200. This was confirmed recently by Eric Vas, President (Motorcycle Business, Bajaj Auto) at a special screening of ‘Invincible Indians’. Some sources close to Bajaj are even sure that the production of Bajaj V12 has already commenced and the 1st lot of bikes will soon be dispatched to the dealers.
As speculated earlier, Bajaj V will soon see an expansion in its lineup with the manufacturer working on a smaller V12 model (V125) for the popular commuter sport series. The upcoming 125cc motorcycle will rival the current market leaders namely Honda Shine and Hero Glamour. The hint about this new bike was given by Bajaj Auto’s MD, Rajiv Bajaj in an interview last month. If everything goes as expected, we can get the same in our market by the start of 2017, providing enough time for the launch of Dominar 400.
Bajaj V12 Confirmed, Official Price is INR 56,200
The V series will keep its tag of being a premium commuter alive with the newcomer, most probably sharing the same design language as the V15. Made out of the metal of INS Vikrant, the V series carries patriotic essence, targeting large number of buyers through its effective presentation. The motorcycle is expected to be powered by a 124.6 cc, 1-cylinder engine from Discover series, producing 10.9 BHP and 10.8 Nm of torque. It will use a 5-speed gearbox while the engine will be updated to meet the BS4 regulations.
