The BS6 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 has started reaching dealerships across the country. The first-ever detailed walkaround video of the fully-faired motorcycle has surfaced on YouTube and it offers full-fledged details of the 200cc sportbike’s features and engine specifications.
Coming to the initial design language, the BS6-compliant variant of the RS200 retains the same styling when compared to its BS4 counterpart. The updated motorcycle features identical bulky looks while the LED tail light setup has also been kept the same.
In addition to this, the motorcycle features a similar high-rise profile at the rear while the low slung exhaust mounted on the side has also been carried from the BS4 version. The brand has equipped the updated motorcycle variant with similar projector halogen lamps at the front.
Coming to the mechanical bits, the BS6 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 features similar telescopic forks at the front while the rear has been equipped with a nitrox monoshock absorber. The braking department on the updated sports machine is handled by disc brakes at either side with a dual-channel ABS unit as standard.
Powering the motorcycle is a BS6-compliant 199.5cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 24.5HP at 9,750 rpm while the peak torque offered by the updated machine has not been revealed as of yet. At present, the BS4 compliant variant of the motorcycle is good for 18.6Nm of maximum torque.
In terms of pricing, the BS6-compliant model of the RS200 will launch with a price tag of INR 1.44 lakh, which is approximately INR 3,000 higher when compared to the BS4 model that is available for INR 1.41 lakh (ex-showroom), till the stock lasts. The sportbike will complete in the market with the likes of KTM RC 200, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, and Hero Xtreme 200S.
