Bajaj Pulsar 125 India Launch Soon: As per the recent speculations, Bajaj is all set to launch an all-new 125cc motorcycle in India under the Pulsar banner. The earlier rumours suggested that the new motorcycle will be launched as Pulsar NS125, which is already available in the international markets.
But according to a recent report by ACI, the upcoming 125cc motorcycle will be based on the Pulsar 150 Neon and will be known as Pulsar 125. Considering the recent regulations, the high displacement motorcycles will be out of majority league as the mandatory addition of ABS, new insurance rates, as well as the BSVI compliant engine, has made the price tags to reach much higher.
Launching the 125cc Bajaj Pulsar in India would turn out to be one of the best decisions made by the brand considering the affordable price tag as well as the strong foothold of the Pulsar brand in India. The Bajaj Pulsar 125 won’t require the addition of ABS making it one of the cost-effective choices under the Pulsar banner.
If the recent reports are correct, the Bajaj Pulsar 125 will be based on the design language of Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon while getting a 125cc engine. The motorcycle is expected to feature a single-seat saddle with no fuel tank extensions. The Pulsar 125 is expected to get a drum brake at the rear while the bike will come equipped with CBS (Combined Braking System).
There are no confirmed details available regarding the engine specifications of the upcoming motorcycle. Considering the specs of the Pulsar NS125 available in the international markets, the India-spec Pulsar 125 will be powered by a 124.5cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, four-valve engine.
It will be capable of generating a maximum power figure of 12 HP at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque figure of 11 Nm at 6,000 pm. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Bajaj Pulsar 125 is expected to be launched in India next month while we expect the price tag to range in between INR 60,000-65,000 (ex-showroom).
