To jog your memory, the brand discontinued the Pulsar 180 a few years ago and replaced it with 180F, which is based on the Pulsar 220F. But somehow, Bajaj fans didn’t like the 180F much, and to give a boost to the sales of 180cc Pulsar, Bajaj has relaunched the naked version to compete with the likes of TVS Apache RTR 180 2V and Honda Hornet 2.0.
Mechanically, the naked version is equipped with 180F’s 178.6cc, SOHC, 4-valve, DTS-i single-cylinder engine that is BS6-compliant and is capable of offering maximum power of 17.02HP @ 8500 rpm and a peak torque of 14.52Nm @ 6500 rpm. The engine remains mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The suspension duties continue to be handled by telescopic forks at the front while the rear features 5-way adjustable Nitrox shock absorbers. The2021 Bajaj Pulsar 180 Naked continues to feature a disc brake setup at either side mated to a single-channel ABS as standard.
