As a hint about this name change strategy was posted few days back on the Maxabout Forum, the pictures here below confirms that the production ready model is Bajaj Pulsar VS400 instead of the highly rumored CS400. The source stays undisclosed due to certain reasons.
Maxabout Exclusive: Production Name of CS400 is Bajaj Pulsar VS400
The flagship Pulsar VS400 produces a maximum power output of 25.74 kW / 35 HP at 8,000 rpm. The Gross Vehicle Weight is rated at 332 kg. It is the maximum operating weight of a vehicle as specified by the manufacturer including the vehicle’s chassis, body, engine, engine fluids, fuel, accessories, rider, pillion rider and cargo. The seats are split and the motorcycle can be seen here in Traditional Pulsar shade, Dark Blue/Black. The VS400 moniker can be clearly seen in the side view of the motorcycle.
Limited power means better mileage, thereby expecting a clean 30 kmpl mileage from the new VS400. The images can be seen with the ABS rings on the place, pointing the model here to be the top variant on the Pulsar lineup. Pulsar VS400 is expected to be priced around Rs 1.60-1.80 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
The best part for the motorcycle is its low stance with cruiser like seating, making all the fans sure that the name would stay CS (cruiser sport) while the case with SS (super sport) was also changed to RS (race sport). Do guess what VS will stand for in the comment section below!
