The introduction of the new Pulsar motorcycles based on the new platform, the N250 and F250, has paved the way for Bajaj Auto to offer the next generation of Pulsar motorcycles. During the launch event, the manufacturer also revealed its plans to bring new variants based on the new chassis that will replace the existing generation of Pulsar motorcycles. With two incarnations of the quarter-litre Pulsar currently on the market, Bajaj may consider a third by producing the Pulsar RS250.
A fully-faired Pulsar 250 might round out the flagship series of quarter-litre Pulsars. The RS 250 would be the most premium model in the Pulsar lineup, followed by the semi-faired F250 and the naked N250. Pratyush Rout, a design artist, has digitally re-imagined the Pulsar 250 as a fully-faired sports bike covered in a variety of colour choices. The RS250’s digital renderings share a few stylistic cues with its semi-faired sibling, such as the identical single-beam projector headlamp flanked by twin LED DRLs.
Moreover, unlike the F250, the RS250 has a fully-faired shell that conceals the majority of the internals and running gear while exposing only a portion of the engine, frame, and rear subframe. The motorcycle also has a bigger front mudguard, which adds to its “giant bike” appearance. The design artist has imagined the bike in six colour options, red, blue, yellow, grey, orange, and black.
In terms of the powertrain, the same 249cc single-cylinder, SOHC, two-valve, oil-cooled engine that produces 24.5 bhp and 21.5 Nm of peak torque will be used in the RS250. This engine is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission with assist and a slipper clutch. The motorcycle’s hardware configurations appear to be identical to those of its two brothers. Only the brand can confirm whether or not Bajaj will launch such a motorcycle in the future.
