Meet Bajaj Avenger 220 Equipped With An Assault Barrel Exhaust System

Motorcycles and excess modifications aren’t something new that we haven’t heard of. While some modifications entirely offer you a new machine unrecognised on every level, there are still some extraordinary works that have a way of accentuating your motorcycle’s appeal and keeping the original profile of the motorcycle intact. One such modification video we came across is of the Bajaj Avenger that has been uploaded by a Youtube channel VampVideo.

At a closer look at this heavily modified motorcycle, one can recognise it to be a Bajaj Avenger though, the extraordinary work done is a treat for the eyes. The yellow and green dual-tone paint job on the modified Avenger sets it apart from the crowd while the reshaped retro fuel tank adds on to its distinguished persona. The motorcycle has been equipped with an aftermarket headlight as well as blinkers.

The customized brown seat saddle and the revamped handlebar multiply the superior looks while the aftermarket alloy wheels complete the overall exclusive design. The customizer has also offered an all-black treatment to the suspension system as well as the engine. The addition of a custom Assault Barrel exhaust system, a wide rear tyre, and the offset placement of the number plate sets the motorcycle apart from its standard version.

Apart from the cosmetic changes, there aren’t any mechanical changes offered to this modified Bajaj Avenger. It continues to be powered by a 220cc, single-cylinder, DTS-i, oil-cooled engine that is capable of generating maximum power of 19.03HP @ 8,400 rpm and a peak torque of 17.5Nm @ 7,000 pm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The suspension duties on the motorcycle are handled by telescopic forks at the front while the rear has been equipped with twin shock absorbers. The Bajaj Avenger features a single disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear. The brand has equipped the current version of the motorcycle with a single-channel ABS unit for additional safety on the roads. At present, the BS6-compliant stock model of the Avenger 220 is available in India for INR 1.33 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
