New Bajaj Dominar 400 Gets Bigger Visor and Knuckle Guards, India Launch Soon

The spy images that surfaced online earlier this year made it evident that Bajaj Auto is actively working on launching its new bike in the Indian market. And for now, media reports are coming that the company is going to launch its Dominar 400 soon with some exclusive updates. According to the reports, some dealerships also confirmed that the updated bike could hit the market in the coming weeks, which might be around the festive season.

However, the updates have not been confirmed officially yet, but as one can see in the new spy photos, we can safely assume that the manufacturer will add a bigger visor and twin knuckle guards to the forthcoming Dominar 400. While further looking at the spy pictures, the windshield and knuckle guards have improved the overall looks of the motorcycle and it looks slightly bigger in comparison to the current-gen model. The knuckle guards include colour-matched embellishments and air deflectors in a black finish.

Additionally, the knuckle guards appear to be aerodynamic, diverting air around the rider's fingers and arms, shielding them from wind and weather factors, particularly in cold and rainy weather. Bajaj Dominar 400 is powered by a BS6-compliant, 373.3cc, 4-stroke, 4-valve triple-spark engine which is capable of churning out 40HP of power and 35Nm of torque. The engine also has electronic fuel injection, liquid cooling, and a 6-speed transmission with an assist and slipper clutch.

While looking forward to the mechanical specifications of the Dominar 400, it is supported by a beam-type perimeter frame and the suspension duties are handled by a 43mm USD front suspension and a multistep mono-shock at the rear. Furthermore, the sporty bike also comes equipped with dual-channel ABS on both the front and rear tyres, which makes it safer for riders while the 17-inch alloy wheels shod with tubeless rubber tyres enhance the sporty look of the bike. More details about pricing and availability will be available with the official announcement by the company soon.
