Bajaj Auto has finally launched its much-awaited bike, the 2022 Dominar 400, with a price tag of Rs. 2.17 lakhs (ex-showroom). The bike comes with factory-fitted touring accessories for enhanced touring potentiality. As we reported earlier as well, the bike has arrived at the dealerships already and deliveries have also commenced across the country.
While talking about these touring accessories, it includes a standard tall visor, engine bash plate, handguards, luggage carrier and backrest, leg guard, navigation stay, saddle stays and USB charging slot. The standard tall visor is for the extra protection of the rider from the wind blast. Also, for further impact protection, the Dominar 400 has a standard engine bash plate with an integrated metal skid plate.
All the features are offered to make the riding more comfortable. The leg guard is there to provide extra crash protection, while the cast aluminium navigation stay helps the bike riders attach a navigation device and is positioned so well that it doesn’t block the road view.
Apart from other standard accessories, the saddle stay will be the only accessory that will be paid for and sold by Bajaj Auto dealers at a minimal price. When it comes to the available colour schemes, the 2022 model of the bike is being offered in two colour choices: Charcoal Black and Aurora Green.
While talking about the key features of the motorcycle, it comes equipped with an all-LED headlamp with AHO feature and a digital split instrument console for offering plenty of information. Furthermore, for the safety of the bike riders, it gets a 2-channel ABS unit as well as 43mm USD forks, a slipper clutch and a twin-spar perimeter frame for better handling and enhanced comfort level.
Mechanically, there are no changes and the 2022 model of Dominar 400 continues to be powered by the same 373.3cc, single-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine which is capable of churning out 40 PS of maximum power at 8800 rpm and 35 Nm of peak torque at 6500 rpm. The engine remains mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
