The much-awaited Red Bajaj Dominar 250 has been recently spotted in a new set of photos. The upcoming motorcycle has started reaching the dealerships while the pre-bookings for the smaller displacement Dominar have also commenced with a token amount of INR 10,000.
The brand will be offering the Dominar 250 in two colour schemes namely Red and Vine Black while the official launch is expected to take place in the coming days. The red colour scheme is all-new for the Dominar series and it is currently not available with the Dominar 400.
Coming to the major changes imparted to the 250cc Dominar variant, the brand has equipped the motorcycle with thinner tyres on either side while the diamond cut alloy wheels setup as seen on the Dominar 400 has also been given a miss.
The Bajaj Dominar 250 features a D250 badging on the body panels while the swingarm is also different. The motorcycle gets a 100 section front tyre and a 130 section rear tyre while the braking department is handled by 320mm disc brake at the front and 230mm disc brake at the rear.
The motorcycle is expected to be priced around INR 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom) and shares the engine specifications with the KTM Duke 250. The 250cc engine on the upcoming Dominar is capable of offering maximum power of 29.41HP and a peak torque of 24Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The brand has already sent out “Block Your Dates” invites for the first ride event of the motorcycle that will happen on March 20, 2020. The customers are expected to get their deliveries by the end of this month or in the first week of April 2020. Once launched in India, the Bajaj Dominar 250 will compete in the market with the likes of Suzuki Gixxer 250 and the Yamaha FZ25.
