The Benelli BN 125 has been recently spotted for the first time in India while the premium entry-level motorcycle can make it to the dealerships in the coming months. The brand has been constantly working towards expanding its reach in the Indian motorcycle segment with the launch of premium products like Imperiale 400 and now the BN 125 is expected to get an all-new and much wider fanbase.
As per the recently discovered images, the Benelli BN 125 features the designing traits of its elder siblings – the TNT 300 and the TNT 600i. In addition to this, the overall white shade with red detailing further adds onto its streetfighter style. The brand has equipped the motorcycle with a sharper body design with accentuating accents on the body panels in addition to a fully-digital instrument console.
The motorcycle features an LED headlight set up while the rear has been equipped with a sharper LED tail light flowing towards the back. The sportier exhaust system further adds onto the Italian motorcycle’s premium appeal.
Powering the motorcycle will be a 125cc air-cooled engine that is capable of generating maximum power of 11.1HP and a peak torque of 10Nm. The engine will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle gets a 110mm tyre at the front while the rear tyre measures 130mm.
The suspension duties on the motorcycle will be handled by USD forks at the front while the rear will be equipped with a monoshock absorber. The brand will further offer the motorcycle with disc brakes set up at either side mated to a CBS (Combined Braking System).
Once launched in India, the Benelli BN 125 will compete in the market with the likes of KTM Duke 125. Though the power and torque figures are far different when comparing the two, the engine displacement of both the motorcycles remains the same.
