Benelli Imperiale 400 Price Increased in India: Benelli launched its Imperiale 400 retro cruiser back in October 2019 with a price tag of INR 1.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has recently hiked the price of the bike by INR 10,500 in India. Now the Imperiale 400 in its silver colour scheme costs INR 1.79 lakh, while its black colour scheme variant comes priced at INR 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The Imperiale 400 rivals the likes of Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Jawa Classic 300. It comes featured with the similar retro-inspired styling with a round headlamp, peanut-shaped fuel tank, dual-pod instrument cluster, split seat, and spoke wheels. The cruiser motorcycle is equipped with an analogue instrument cluster with a small digital unit on the left side. The styling of the bike makes sure that it looks unique and commanding on the road.
The suspension duties of the bike are performed by front telescopic forks and rear dual shock absorbers. Braking of the bike is handled by disc brakes at both ends, with dual-channel ABS as standard. Mechanically, the Benelli Imperiale retro-cruiser is powered by a 374cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 21HP of maximum power along 29Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The price hike of the Imperiale 400 comes just before the transition of BS6 emission norms. It would be interesting to see how much price hike the bike would undergo once the engine is BS6-compliant. The updated model of the bike is expected to launch in April 2020. For reference, RE has recently launched its BS6 Classic 350 that witnessed a price hike of INR 11,000. It now comes priced at INR 1.65 lakh (ex-showroom).
