Benelli has unveiled the new TRK800 adventure tourer for global markets. This new model will compete with the likes of the KTM 890 Adventure and the Triumph Tiger 900 series.
It is propelled by a 754cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine derived from the Leoncino 800. This motor produces 76.2bhp at 8,500rpm and 67 Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm when connected to a six-speed gearbox. A torque-assisted wet slipper clutch mechanism is used in the transmission.
A semi-fairing design with a beak-style front is typical adventure-tourer styling. Windscreen, knuckle guards, and radiator shrouds, as well as a twin-pod headlamp with T-shaped LED DRL. Split-style seat, upswept exhaust canister, sump guard, and wire-spoke wheels with tubeless tyre compatibility.
The suspension is handled by 50mm Marzocchi upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock. The rebound, compression, and spring preload of the front forks are all adjustable. Spring preload and hydraulic rebound damping are adjusted on the mono-shock.
Twin 320mm discs at the front and a single 260mm disc at the back handle the anchoring duties. The wheels on the motorcycle are 19-inch front and 17-inch rear aluminium alloy. Benelli TRK 800 will be available at Benelli dealers worldwide in mid-2023. The details of the Indian launch are not yet available.
