Benelli’s Electric Sports Bike Spotted Ahead of Official Launch

The Italian premium motorcycle maker Benelli is actively working on an electric motorcycle for the global markets. Earlier this year, at the Beijing Motor show, an electric motorcycle prototype was already showcased by its Chinese partner, QJMotors. While the official debut of the bike is awaited, some patent pictures of the final model have surfaced online. The bike spotted in leaked pictures appears to be very identical to the prototype. As per the sources, the upcoming electric bike is named QJ7000D and has a stunning body type.

In terms of design, the split-type LED headlight, angular fairing, storage capacity in place of a fuel tank, and upswept floating tail section have all been maintained. Another noteworthy thing is that the storage space is roomy enough to carry a full-face helmet. In addition, the bike will offer a sporty riding posture by having a clip-on handlebar, a split seat, and slightly rear-set footpegs. Furthermore, the stylish blend of blue and grey body paint makes the motorcycle quite pleasant to the eye.

While talking about the performance and technical specifications, it has a maximum output of 10kW (13.2bhp), which is comparable to a 150cc petrol motorcycle. Both the top speed and the battery range are listed at 100kmph and 100km, respectively. On top of that, the electric motorbike boasts a quality hardware setup with 17-inch alloy wheels, upside-down front suspension and petal-type disc brakes. It also comes with a completely digital TFT instrument panel that shows all of the necessary information in a clear and readable style.

When it comes to the official debut of this bike, it is likely to enter the Chinese market soon, followed by a release in other markets under the Benelli brand. While the India launch is not expected yet, the brand can surprisingly announce the introduction of electric bikes in the near future.
