BS6 Benelli Imperiale 400 Launched in India: Benelli initially launched the Imperiale 400 cruiser motorcycle back in October 2019 with a price tag of INR 1.69 lakhs (ex-showroom). The company then hiked the price of the BS4 model by INR 10,500 in February this year. Now the brand has officially launched the BS6-compliant model with a starting ex-showroom price tag of INR 1.99 lakhs. In comparison, before being discontinued, the BS4 model was available for INR 1.79 lakhs, so the BS6 model has received a price hike of INR 20,000.
The Imperiale 400 rivals the likes of Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Jawa Classic 300. There are no cosmetic changes and the BS6 model of Imperiale continues to feature the similar retro-inspired styling with a round headlamp, peanut-shaped fuel tank, dual-pod instrument cluster, split seat, and spoke wheels. The cruiser motorcycle is equipped with an analogue instrument cluster with a small digital unit on the left side. The styling of the bike makes sure that it looks unique and commanding on the road.
The suspension duties of the bike are performed by front telescopic forks and rear dual shock absorbers. Braking of the bike is handled by disc brakes at both ends, with dual-channel ABS as standard. Mechanically, the BS6 Benelli Imperiale 400 is powered by the same 374cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, air-cooled engine which is now BS6-compliant. As per the official website of Benelli, the BS6 model produces similar power and torque figures. The engine is good for 21HP of maximum power along 29Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike continues to be available in three colours: Red, Black, and Silver.
