August 2018 brought smashing numbers to the best-selling Indian two-wheeler brands. Honda Activa, the hottest selling scooter of all time, scored an impressive 3,10,851 units to gain the first position among all products sold in the country. Hero Splendor, the leader of geared machines, stood second with 2,47,116 units in August 2018. The rising difference clearly shows the comfort-oriented approach of Indian riders through smooth automatic gearbox and abundance of under seat storage. Hero Splendor, on the other hand, offers a typical motorcycle feel through straight riding position and frugal engine.
Hero HF Deluxe is one among the real gainers of all time, scoring 1,83,716 units in the same month. Honda CB Shine stood fourth and claimed the position of best selling 125cc product of all time. The mighty 1,08,790 sales number shows that better torque is a dream of every Indian commuter. When riding on city roads, the motorcycle feels as smooth as butter on an assorted bread. Hero Passion was the fifth most selling product with 82,681 units in August 2018. The numbers show the dominance of Hero and Honda on the two-wheeler market, indicating the interest of users and their trust in these two brands.
Bajaj CT100 is a rising star with 82,424 units in sales number, a figure that definitely brings nightmares to Hero Passion. The 79,223 units registered by TVS Jupiter is an example of improving scooter demand in the country. Hero Glamour, the CB Shine rival, scored 74,097 units for the eighth position. TVS XL Super and Bajaj Pulsar were the last two products on this list with 70,883 and 70,051 units respectively. The sportbike champion is definitely growing at an impressive pace, leaving behind a long list of boring and lifeless commuters with its challenging sales performance.
