Best-Selling 250cc-500cc Bikes: Royal Enfield is the uncrowned king of 250-500cc segment in India. This becomes clear from the first three positions bagged by these bikes in January 2018.
Classic series got 55,874 buyers in the first month of 2018 while Bullet series was good for 15,539 units. Apart from these two, no other bike was even good for a five digit sales figure. Royal Enfield Thunderbird series scored 3,976 units during this period.
*Classic 350: 53221 units + Classic 500: 2653 units
**Bullet 350: 11742 units + Bullet ES: 3540 units + Bullet 500: 257 units

Bajaj Dominar 400 was good for 2,072 units. This helped Bajaj Auto claim almost 100% growth for this brand after a long time. Yamaha FZ25 was good for 1,862 units and lost the close battle to Dominar.
KTM 390 series also witnessed a rise in sales as both the bikes collectively got 1,041 units in January 2018. These two were the last products to get 4-digit sales number.
Himalayan could only get 816 buyers during these 31 days. It still got seventh position among all others. KTM 250 Duke sold 558 units while TVS Apache RR 310 was good for 242 units.
The number is good as well established brand Mojo was good for just 78 units and tenth overall position. Twin cylinder bikes Ninja 300 and Versys 300 were good for 24 units and 1 unit respectively in January 2018. 250cc Kawasaki Z street bike was good for only 2 units in the same period.
