Still, everyone feels that the bike is slightly overpriced and could have been placed around INR 3 lakh. Here are 7 quick facts about BMW’s entry-level GS motorcycle.

7 Quick Facts About BMW G310GS

1) Design & Style

The design of the newest member keeps the traditional GS design language alive. It features the signature beak that the adventure bikers have accepted. There is a small windscreen and the bike also has dual-sport tires for off-road and on-road use. It fulfils all the requirements of an adventure tourer and you cannot go wrong with this choice. From a distance, one can say for certain that it is a BMW GS.

2) Engine & Gearbox

The G310 GS is powered by a 313cc single-cylinder engine that generates maximum power of 33.6 BHP @ 9500 rpm and a maximum torque of 28 NM @ 7500 rpm. The throttle response is crisp and in no time, the rider can experience the full power of the bike. The engine allows the rider to hit highway speeds with comfort and the handling is easy as well.

3) BMW-Motorrad ABS

The G310GS comes equipped with a switchable 2-channel BMW Motorrad ABS. This means that you can turn it off or on, based on your choice. This will allow the rider to back better into corners or run headlong into tracks or have some fun with wheel-spins on gravel that will send it far up in the sky.

4) Approx. Mileage & Range

With an 11 litre tank and a combined mileage of 27-30 kmpl, the G310GS is good for nearly 300-330 km between fuel stops on a mixed driving for mileage and fun. The range is smaller in comparison to typical tourer motorcycles with around 20 litres of fuel carrying capacity.

5) Riding Capability

BMW G310GS allows the rider to enjoy all terrain riding with its long travel front USD forks and rear monoshock. The use of bigger 19-inch front wheel further improves the climbing ability. Both the suspensions allow 180mm of travel while ground clearance for the G310GS is 220mm.

6) Informative Console

At INR 3.49 lakh, BMW-Motorrad has priced the G310GS on the higher side but still, it is a very good deal as there aren’t many options if someone wants to buy a proper entry-level adventure motorcycle in India.
