G310GS & G310R Bookings Open in India: A recent report in Indian automotive segment claims that BMW Motorrad dealers in Delhi, Pune, Kerala and Chennai have unofficially started accepting bookings for BMW G310R and G310GS in India.
The booking amount is INR 50,000 while first set of bikes will enter delivery phase around late July. Official bookings for both these motorcycles are yet to start and one can expect them to open in early days of July. Fans are highly awaiting BMW G310R in India while G310GS will also attract select riders with interest in adventure filled, rough road riding and long distance touring.
Both bikes are currently manufactured in India under a partnership with TVS. Part sharing makes them quite effective as 313cc, single cylinder engine with fuel injection and liquid cooling is being used on both bikes. This motor is good for 34 HP at 9500 rpm and 28 Nm at 7500 rpm.
BMW offers a smooth 6-speed gearbox with both bikes. These dealers have not hinted at any price point for these bikes but one could expect them to stay under INR 3 lakh. BMW G310R is 11 kg lighter than G310GS, making it the first choice of customers who love bikes from middleweight category.
