BMW Motorrad India has managed to register over 600 bookings for the BMW G310R and G310GS motorcycles during the festive period of October 2019. The entry-level G310 twins were launched by the brand last year and were available to the customers with free insurance and registration during the festive month. The BMW G310R roadster is currently available in the market at a price tag of INR 2.99 lakh while the G310GS adventure motorcycle can be availed at 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
Powering both the G310 twins is a 313cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is capable to generate a maximum power of 34HP and a peak torque of 28Nm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission.
The brand has not yet offered any significant cosmetic or mechanical changes to BMW G310R and G310GS since their launch in the Indian market. If the brand plans on updating the motorcycles in the coming weeks, one can expect them to feature a BS6-compliant engine as the new emission norms will commence in the country from April 1, 2020.
Commenting on receiving over 600 bookings for the BMW G 310 twins, Rudratej Singh, President and Chief Executive Officer, BMW Group India stated “BMW Motorrad has an extremely aspirational and distinguished set of products that have gained immense popularity and trust amongst the motorcycling community in India. Together with a highly competitive cost of ownership and steadily expanding outreach throughout the country, BMW Motorrad has created a very strong position for itself in the premium motorcycle segment. All these factors have contributed to the remarkable success of BMW G 310 motorcycles during the festive season exceeding all expectations. For our customers, the irresistible festive offer was the best Diwali gift as they realized their dream to own the ultimate riding machine. With BMW Motorrad community growing strongly in the country, we will continue to set new benchmarks in our performance,”
