A recent report about the German luxury motorcycle maker, BMW-Motorrad, notify that the company has recalled the G310R and the G310GS in a number of international markets due to numerous complaints received from the customers regarding the brake callipers.
On enquiring from the brand, they notified that the brake callipers are prone to corrosion. This issue can further become a reason for causing friction inside the bore. Issues regarding corrosion in the braking system can severely affect the stopping power of the motorcycles. The brake callipers of the G310 series are manufactured by ByBre, which is an Indian subsidiary of Brembo.
The current update suggests that the models have been recalled only in the international markets although it is yet to be confirmed if a similar step for the repair would be taken by BMW-Motorrad India regarding the G310 twins. In case the company plans on recall in the country then the customers will be contacted by the dealership or the customers may also receive an email from BMW-Motorrad to notify them.
