Reports from Overdrive say that BMW G310R will not be coming to India this year. If this is true, then this will be a shocking news for the ones who were truly waiting for the bike in India. Moreover, the G310R is being produced in India, so this makes it obvious for everyone to expect that it should first be launched for Indian market.
Developed under the partnership between TVS and BMW, G310R was scheduled to be launched in October 2016. But as of now, reports claim that it will not be launched this year, the bike is now expected to be launched in India by March 2017. Since BMW G310R is being manufactured at TVS Motors’ plant in Tamil Nadu (India), thus everyone is expecting it to be reasonably priced (Around Rs 2 lakh).
Initially, BMW may launch the bike in very few markets to avoid huge waiting periods. Few days ago, the BMW G310R website went live but India was missing on the list of 41 countries where the bike would be launched at first. For now, BMW Motorrad has got no showrooms in India and would open up 3-4 showrooms soon.
